A Letter From Baba Dez Nichols

A Call for Unity in Our Community from Baba Dez Nichols
on the Arizona Temple Raids

While many sex positive practitioners do not consider their work religious, it is imperative that we as a community of sexual healers stand united in this defense of our brothers and sisters who do. The recent raids on Arizona Temples have set the stage for a Landmark case with international implications and has become an opening for all those who practice with love whether you call it Tantra, Sex Work or Whole Body Healing.

Federal and State governance of sexual liberation has become a wildfire that threatens to consume those fundamental rights of the individual deliberately enshrined in the US Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations. The USA’s Fourth Amendment right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures and the Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination or deprivation of liberty without due process have fallen as casualties in the war against responsible sexual behavior. Today the “war” targets one of the most deeply held fundamental rights – the First Amendment right to freely exercise one’s religion.

The recent raids of the Oklevueha Native American Church’s Sedona Temple (ONAC of ISTA) and Phoenix Goddess Temple (ONAC of MMW) in Arizona are examples of these threats that would give rise to serious constitutional claims under the due process clauses of the federal and state constitutions.

What we as a community can do is heal ourselves first by stepping out of our judgment of another’s practice and into service from our hearts. The support network is requesting contributions of knowledge, testimonials and hosts for fund-raising events and can be found at schooloftemplearts.org. The legal fund intends to raise between $150,000 and $1.5 Million for what could be as short as six months or as long as a ten year process. At the very least we can hold space for the process to unfold into unconditional love for our brothers and sisters, law enforcement and our governance system for they can heal as well. We are all ONE and this is a paradigm shift. Together we can heal it with love.

Go to http://nativeamericanchurches.org/legalfund to contribute and receive the blessings and benefits of responsible people that are standing up for the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights. By making a contribution to the Oklevueha Native American Church of ISTA your services or funds directly support the ONAC of ISTA’s Sedona Temple and ONAC of MMW’s Phoenix Goddess Temple legal funds.

Pamela Buckner Testimonial for Tracy Elise

Pamela Buckner

I have visited this church and known Sister Tracy Elise for 30 years. She is more sincere than any Baptist or Catholic or any other religious devotee I have ever met. Her Spiritual purpose drives everything she does; her primary intention is to heal with Tantra, and she has many people who love and have been healed by her, who have learned to heal alongside her.

Kris Fireheart Testimonial for Tracy Elise

My experience of Tracy Elise is that she is a strong devotee of her Faith. As Minister of the Goddess, her passion and creative force is apparent. I first spoke to her over the phone, even hundreds of miles away her conviction and devotion was obvious.

In the 3 years that I have known Tracy Elise, the depth of her Faith has been clear. When visiting the Phoenix Goddess Temple to teach, I found a welcoming and vibrant Community. It was evident to me this is a place for all who worship the Goddess.

Tracy Elise has a vision and created a beautiful physical space in which to gather to honor our shared beliefs. When walking down the halls of the Phoenix Goddess Temple, there was a definite sense of dedication and beauty. Bright colors adorned the Temple space, beautiful artwork of Goddesses lined the walls. When connecting with the other Community members who were often present, I felt welcomed. No matter what day, there was always a Yoga class, Religious Service, or some impromptu gathering happening.

I am grateful for the vision Tracy Elise brought to this world, in the form of the Phoenix Goddess Temple and hold the right to gather sacred in my heart. For me the right to assemble and share time with kindred Spirits is paramount to my Spiritual practice. As human beings are social entities, when this right is denied we deny our very nature.

Namaste.

Kari Star Testimonial for Tracy Elise

Kari Star’s Tracy Elise Testimony

Tracy truly demonstrates the love of the Goddess and commitment to uphold the principles of the Divine Feminine.

Tracy never held grudges, but always a loving space in her heart for all. I am speaking of every person that ever talked or acted badly in her presence, and all wrongdoers. She often allowed people to take advantage of her generous, open-hearted nature.

I was surprised to hear her always speaking lovingly, appreciatively, and respectfully regarding all forms of consensual sexuality on the planet. This is in true alignment with the acceptance and non-judgmental nature of the Divine Feminine. She truly walked the talk. Sexuality is the area of most severe judgment of people on the planet, and she makes a difference by shining her light.

Every week, she worked to implement better educational programs and social functions for the church, as well as produce videos for the public to understand sacred sex. She is truly just getting started. Tracy is so exhilarated about her work that she wanted to live it and develop it as she went along, and was doing that. It was in no way perfect, but improving constantly.

More and more professional Tantra instructors were teaching there. The Temple is a big part of networking the teachings and practices of Sacred Sex. Tracy was teaching others to open Temples that would eventually attract many professional healers of all types.

The Native American Church uses peyote to help people make a connection to Spirit. Peyote is illegal in America. In this church, people donate money for the experience of peyote. People report it does help make a Spiritual Connection.

The Phoenix Goddess Temple teaches people that their sexuality can make a connection to Spirit. Exchanging sex for money is illegal in America. The truth is, sex is an avenue for people to connect with Spirit. People donated money for the experience of being with a Goddess, one who believes in and is learning and teaching the sacredness of sexuality.

Tracy practiced being guided by her connection to Source and demonstrated her commitment to living in the relaxed, carefree lifestyle that she preached. She is incredibly intelligent, a scholar in the field of Tantra, and very committed to making a huge difference on the planet by returning what was lost when the Goddess Temples were destroyed and many lives lost over the last 1500 years.

Do you know how to connect with Spirit during lovemaking? Do you feel the cosmic connection of the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine? If not, perhaps you might like to learn from the Phoenix Goddess Temple. They are there to provide society with a place where they can leave behind ingrained prejudices and be loved for who they are, and learn to love others for who they are.

You will also learn about the generosity of the Goddess, that is all-loving and all-accepting. You will certainly learn about a system of thought much different from the one that rules and controls our society, called The Divine Feminine. The Goddess also teaches about sacred sexuality. It is her nature, but women have been deprived of this understanding. Tracy thought it was right for people to know these things in the environment of a Sacred Temple.

Please donate to Tracy Elise’s defense fund. Support religious freedom while you and all of us are still free to practice our faiths as we feel motivated by GodSource to do so.

Testimonial from Anastas Harris, Ph.D., M.Ed. for Tracy Elise

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter in primarily in support of Tracy Elise but also in support of Tamar, whom I have also met.

Tracy Elise’s Spiritual Brilliance

I have known Tracy Elise since around May 2008, when I met her at a conference in Sedona and asked to interview her with my husband Dr. Steven Vogue. We were gathering material for a book for couples in long term relationships and we asked her to tell us what she knew about how to have an intimate, passionate love in a long term relationship. That interview turned into a 28 page article. In the process of the interview we discovered Tracy Elise’s powerful insights into love, sacred sexuality, spirituality and energy.

We discovered that Tracy is a brilliant and wise woman, full of love and depth of understanding. Her insights into the esoterics of spirituality were explained in ways that the common person could grasp them. She was humble and down to earth, compassionate, humorous, and lively. She taught Tantra and called the Tantra she taught Magnetic Tantra because it was based on the polarities of the energies that interweave in life. We have no doubt that Tracy is a true teacher. An articulate and compassionate woman of her depth and wisdom cannot be otherwise.

Tracy Elise’s Generosity

Twice later on visiting Phoenix we asked if we could stay at her temple overnight and do a presentation to the women there on a facial product I was selling. She completely supported me in that. She gave my husband and I a beautiful romantic room to stay in at no cost, although we offered to pay. This was amazing to us because we were only acquaintances and we fully expected to be charged quite a lot.

Tracy Elise’s Capacity to Create Creative Healing Spaces on a Minimal Budget

When we looked around the establishment we were amazed at the imagination and beauty of the place. Each room was different. Each room was an oasis away from the world that competed with the other for healing, sensual, and spiritually uplifting qualities – and it had all been done from yard sales. When you entered into one of these rooms, the room itself both relaxed and healed you and filled you with anticipation of a delightful adventure.

My Experience of the Quality of the Women She Attracted to the Place

When I did the presentation to the women of the facial machine, I found them to be a warm-hearted, intelligent group of women who were open to hearing what I had to say but were themselves concerned about money and although they desired to purchase the product did not have the funds. It was clear that the Temple was not a successful financial concern.

However, there was not a one of them that was anything but pleasant, friendly, respectful, caring, good-humored and they clearly all got on with each other – which, if you think of it, is a tribute to their consciousness as women. Not one of them was cheap or had the energy of what is commonly called “a tart.” They are seemed lovely women and fine human beings. We are so saddened that they are now in such trouble and are suffering so.

Tracy Elise’s Indifference to Money

When we booked a hotel in Sedona but found we were not covered for one day, we asked Tracy if we could stay with her for a night and again offered to pay. She accepted only a $20 stipend to cover her boy friend’s efforts to get the place ready and do laundry for us. I asked her how her temple was doing and discovered that she was really strapped for money. Then I discovered that the other practitioners at the temple were not in so tight a financial situation. I asked her how that could be.

Apparently she had set it up so that they kept the money they made or made some kind of small donation to her for the expenses, (I don’t remember exactly what) and that she covered most of the expenses. Anyway, whatever the set up was she didn’t have much money.

A few months ago, she and Tamara, her friend, came to San Diego and asked if they could stay with my husband and I for a few days. I discovered that they only had $100 between the two of them to spend. I don’t know if that was in addition to gas money or included it. I have talked about money with Tracy, because her attitude is very different from most people in our society, regardless of whether they are conservative or alternative. She is not motivated by money. She is motivated by what she believes in.

What motivates Tracy Elise – The Role of the Priestess

Tracy believes in the higher spiritual order of the Goddess culture, where the woman knows her divinity and expresses it in her every day life and relationships. She views the job of the priestess, a woman that represents this divine order, (as both Tracy and Tamar do), to be to express her divinity through her love and her sexual energy to heal men and raise their vibrational field so that they understand the sacredness in love and sex and can truly love a woman.

Tracy does not have sex for money or encourage others to do the same. There is virtually nothing that Tracy would do for money. All her actions are motivated by her spiritual beliefs and energies. If an action will support those she will do it. If it will not, she does not. Pleasure is an important part of her spiritual beliefs – that this life is to be celebrated and enjoyed but not in a crude way. It is to be enjoyed in a way that is filled with love, honoring, sacredness, and adventure.

The Meaning of the Temple for Tracy

For Tracy the Temple was above all a school for enlightenment in the ways of love and the divine feminine energy. This was her intention. I believe that, with her skills and her consciousness, that probably many men are the better for their acquaintance with her and those she gathered around her at the Temple.

The Benefit for the Men’s Relationships and their Wives and Girlfriends.

I also believe that the women in those men’s lives are probably the happier for their experiences with her. No doubt these women are more honored, more romanced, and more sensitively touched, both emotionally and sexually. Most couples, once the honeymoon period is over, suffer from the lack of sexual skills of the partners, familiarity, and their inability to honor and find sacredness in their relationship with each other.

Anything that educates either of the partners in ways that will help them change this is of service to the couple. In our interview with Tracy and our subsequent experiences with her, it was obvious that she had this capacity.

Tracy Elise’s Path as a Teacher of Tantra

In conclusion, Tracy Elise is a Tantric coach. Tantra is a spiritual path and a path of Sacred Sexuality. Through it you come to experience the divinity in yourself, your partner and existence. Many men are attracted to it because they believe that they can learn to be excellent lovers through it – and they can. But they come to find that they learn much more. They learn to be honoring and spiritual men who finally know what it means to experience the union of their sexual and spiritual energies. This is what Tracy Elise teaches. This is what it means to teach the art of Sacred Sexuality and Tantra. Tracy Elise is a force for good.

It would be a terrible thing to give a jail sentence to this woman, whose motivations are for the good of others and who, unlike most people in our society, will not sacrifice the good of others, or her higher values, for money. We consider her to be an exemplary human being. We beg that you let both her and her fellow priestess Tamar go free.

If you wish to contact me or my husband with regard to what I have written, please call us at 760-450-7247.
Sincerely,
Anastas Harris, Ph.D., M.Ed.

Living Love Revolution Supports Tracy Elise’s Free Church

Teri CiacchiLiving Love Revolution supports Tracy Elise’s free church.  I am Reverend Teri D. Ciacchi of Living Love Revolution which is both a Free Church and a form of integrated social change activism. Living Love Revolution teaches and holds events focused on self love, spiritually-centered open relationships and sacred sexuality. I am a religious scholar, an author and a visionary healer. I have a private practice that provides healing sessions to those who request them. More details on my training and education are available at the end of this letter and on my website.

I have known Tracy Elise since 2004. I worked with Tracy Elise’s previous temple the School of One in Seattle for nine months in 2005-2006 as the Education Director. My purpose as the education director was two fold 1) to hold classes to train the practitioners of the Temple in Sacred Sexuality techniques and the herstory of Sacred Sexuality in the Goddess traditions 2) To educate the general public about Sacred Sexuality and Sex Positivity by holding weekly classes at the School of One.

I am able to provide a curriculum of what I taught if that would be useful. In my understanding we are living in a time of great turmoil and social transformation. We are living in a Postmodern (both/and) era and many things are changing. One of the things that is undergoing a radical transformation is the nature of Spirituality and Religion. Religions which arose in the beginning of the Modern (either/or) era no longer serve the needs of a great many people.

These older religions are dualistic and align themselves with state and patriarchal structures. Many people, including myself feel that religions with black and white thinking are based on fundamental concepts that split the world, and human beings within it, into two sides: good and evil. My experience of the world and myself are much more complex than this and so I turned my attentions to traditions and teachings that reflect values of connection, integration and oneness.

There are hundreds of thousands of practitioners of Wicca, Paganism and Neo-Tantra in the world and yet, very few of them feel called to create a religion out of these practices. Tracy Elise is a person who felt called to create her own church. Her personal revelation and following conversion to the path of the Goddess has been well documented on her website, and in her television and radio interviews, in an authentic and direct manner.

Tracy Elise, has in my presence acted consistently with her espoused beliefs and religious convictions. I believe in Tracy’s sincerity as a person called into service by Deity. She has found herself in a dangerous and complicated Postmodern situation. The healing services she has trained herself to provide and has received as direct transmissions from Deity in her personal spiritual practices are absolutely in line with her beliefs and calling.

People who receive such transmissions are rare and unique. The legal system and police are not prepared to see anything but prostitution and are not educated to be able to distinguish between a new non-patriarchal religious/spiritual practice and an exchange of sex for money. The existence and worship of Ancient Goddesses and the concept of a Sacred Whore are not new in any sense of the word.

The works of Feminist religious scholars such as Judy Grahn, Betty De Shong Meador, Elinor Gadon, Diane Wolkstein, Patricia Monaghan and the works of Jungian analysts Sylvia Brinton Perera and Nancy Qualls-Corbett provide ample evidence of historical precedent and the current psychological hunger for the return of this archetype to mainstream culture. Deena Metzger wrote an article in 1986 published in the Utne Reader called : “Re-Vamping the World: the Return of the Sacred Prostitute”.

While I have been researching and reading the resurgence of this archetype into the mainstream for decades, Tracy Elise is the first person I have personally known to create a Free Church based on her personal convictions that she is to embody the Goddess and provide direct services. The contradiction here is not in Tracy Elise or her beliefs. The problem comes from an out of date Modern legal system that is still engaged in black and white thinking.

Tracy Elise is both a spiritual healer and a sacred sexual practitioner. The state of Arizona spent a lot of tax payers money in a six month investigation and heavily armed SWAT team raid of a church full of non-violent priestesses practicing their religion. We need new laws and new definitions that distinguish forms of prostitution that involve pimps and trafficking of unwilling street prostitutes from practitioners of sacred sexual healing. Forms of exchange where willing practitioners exchange money and goods with willing seekers for healing hands on services need to be distinguished from illegal acts of prostitution.

In my opinion, seekers who attended the Pheonix Goddess Temple, were members of a Free Church who entered their Temple for healing sessions and they should have the same right to privacy and exemption from legal investigations as Catholics who attend their church for confession. What happens in a healing session between a Priestess of that Temple and a seeker who comes for healing there is a private matter and none of our business. In a country that respects and protects all religious beliefs; even a Religion that sees the body as holy and sex as a sacrament, this would be true.

I hope to live into a future where the local, state and federal governments allow the same freedoms for small newly emerging revelatory Goddess based religions as it has for the dominant dualistic religions of the past. I send my blessings and prayers to Tracy Elise and thank her for acting in accordance with her will and her calling. Sincerely, Reverend Teri D. Ciacchi MSW

Thank you Isis you gave me new understanding of my sexual problems and help guide and teach me how to overcame them. With her verbal and physical touch, she taught me how to use my inner energy to channel and flow from one part of my body to another to help control my problem. Isis you were truly amazing and I cannot wait to visit the temple again to have you guide and teach me more.

Thank you for your time~ Paul (pagan)

Hi Gypsy!

We just wanted to take a moment and thank you for the wonderful session last night. We went in not really knowing what to expect and you made us instantly feel comfortable and safe. You have an amazing energy and a huge heart that shines through everything you do. It was a true gift for us to be able to spend time with you.

We are excited to have some new tools and ideas to work with in our relationship. Again, thank you so much for the CD.

We hope to be able to have more sessions with you in the future. You had mentioned working with Krishna, and that may be something we’ll explore further down the road. Right now we would like to continue to work with you until we are comfortable enough to begin working with someone new. In that regard, we would really like to work on opening Rick up and encouraging him to breathe and express himself more. Hopefully that is something you can help us with.

Bright Blessings!
~Amber & Rick

Dear Divine Ms Tracy – Many thanks for a truly enlightening session. As you promised I feel more centered

I got home Tuesday evening. Yesterday afternoon was the first opportunity that my wife and I had a chance to share intimately. I was anxious to try the Chakra touching exercise that you taught me (positive/giving and negative/receiving). As she touched me, I did feel an energy circuit created…. we had a good experience sharing intimately and I was more relaxed and was able to stay longer in her yoni. (THANK YOU!)

Meeting with Tracy was a transforming experience! She gave me a new understanding of my sexual and intimacy needs and empowerment to live it out. With the verbal and physical sharing, I got to practice what she taught during our session. This will greatly deepen my intimacy with my life’s lover back home!

I sincerely feel that we tapped into something special. I can still feel the magnetic pull.

I had what I considered an amazing and enlighting session with you the last time I was in Scottsdale back in May.

The time we have had together has been special and fufilling. I really feel at peace when I am with you.

I just wanted to take a moment to say that it was my pleasure to be treated today.

I am still overwhelmed by our session together. I knew that you were beautiful, but heck, that is the easy part. We made a profound connection. I loved the uninhibited joy.

the remembrance of our exchange warms my heart!! Thank you so much for all te Love and Unity I expirienced.

I really enjoyed the time with you. The two sessions really helped me to feel different and integrate my sexuality in a way i was never able to. Thank you so much

——————————————————————————–

i wanted to thank you for yesterdays session. it was awesome.

i was totally drained when i got home. and slept very well last night.

Tracy – Thank you for an incredible journey yesterday! It is rare that I’m taken to such spiritual heights and awareness. My mind opens up so much when I’m with someone who is willing to guide me, show me, what is possible. I truly felt a connection with you. The conversation really helped me begin to understand what was happening.

Hi there Tracy, You are fascinating.

“The words, “Thank you”, are not enough to express my appreciation for your time and everything that I learned last night. Of the 3 other Goddesses that I’ve seen, I can honestly say, “You are the best!”. After the initial sharing, what you were teaching me really started “clicking” with my intuition of who I am or what I need. So, I’m really anxious to fly home this afternoon and start practicing the touching, intimacy exercises that you taught me.

Meeting with Tracy was a transforming experience! She gave me a new understanding of my sexual and intimacy needs and empowerment to live it out. With the verbal and physical sharing, I got to practice what she taught during our session. This will greatly deepen my intimacy with my life’s lover back home!

You really are fantastic!”

Thank you beautiful

I had a magical time and truly wish I could have stayed longer.

Hello Divina. I was drawn to the warmth and caring heart

——————————————————————————–

I just wanted to give you some feeback on my very first visit last Thursday with Ray.

First I have to give you kudos! The new temple is beautiful! You did a wonderful job! Second, I have to say this was the very best experience that I have ever had. Ray is an absolute sweetheart and we connected from the very first moment that I entered the Temple. She made me feel absolutely comfortable and our session was (and I can’t think of any better word) AWESOME!!! Your location is a little far from my part of town (Surprise) but well worth the drive, and I plan to visit weekly (schedule permiting).

My Priestesses – How did I miss this Motherhood (Brotherhood) Church all this time?

Have often thought that sensuality is the primal force for we all.

Hi. I was lucky enough to experience tantric bliss with Radha, it was one of the most amazing times of my life.

Tracy – I had a great time today. When I left the further I got from you the emptier I felt. It was weird. I feel like we made a connection on a level that I have never been before. I learned so much and could not wait to get home and try it out. So far so great! I put my left hand on my wife’s 2nd charkra and my right on her 3rd and just held her for a while. we never said anything just held her. she later told me that that was the best feeling she had had in a very long time.

I must tell you that you are a vey very beautiful and true lady. I have never met anyone like you and I look forward to our next meeting.

Last night was a rare and life changing moment….

Anonymous Testimonial for Tracy Elise

To whom it may concern:

I am a former student and close personal friend of Tracey Elise.  In the past, I had the privilege of being involved in The Phoenix Goddess Temple classes and events.

I have always felt loved and accepted by Tracey and others that were involved in the Temple.  I have never in any way ever been asked or coerced in anyway to commit any type of illegal activities.  Also, I have no knowledge of the concretion of others to commit any type of crime.

I have always been welcomed to participate in any Temple activity regardless of my ability to make a donation.  I also have direct knowledge of others that were welcome to Temple events, without any expectation of donation.

The knowledge that I received at the Temple and directly from Tracey has been valuable to my understanding of the unconditional love of The Mother and the duality of Diety.  She is a prime example of a Priestess living in true devotion to her beliefs at great cost to her own finances and reputation.

With great sincerity,

Stuart Mark Berlin M.D. Testimonial for Tracy Elise

I spoke at the temple on my path of tantric kabbalah last december and again this past august 30th.
I found that everyone there who attended my lectures were very interested in sacred sexuality and the integration of science, spirituality and sexuality.
On both occasions that I was there the Hebrew prayers that I taught were well received.  When I came back a second time High Priest Robert Cohn (a name for a Jewish priest) chanted the prayer with me. So the Temple practices religious ceremony.

I did feel from the dress of some women there and by the nature of the rooms that I was in a place that was very sexual, although sexual in service to the goddess.
What I believe the ancient goddess temple’s did going all the way back to the Neolithic temples (Neolithic being 7,000 bce to 3000 bce. This is very different from a typical house of prostitution which is usually run by mobsters, a very patriarchal group, where degradation of women and using women as objects is taking place.

I did receive a phone message from Tracy before my second trip to the Goddess Temple. She had found a copy of my 9 cd set of my first book and autobiography Every woman a Goddess: Everyman a Hero in Her Service.  She left me a message to say that she was listening to my book on her commute and that she was sad she was going to miss my second talk and maybe we could arrange for another trip in the future. At no time did I ever participate in any private rituals or any sexual contact in the Phoenix Goddess Temple.  I have no personal knowledge of any of the personal sacred sexual ritual that is alleged to have taken place.

I can say that both Tracy and the staff at the Temple are genuinely interested in learning from many different traditions of sacred sexuality and Goddess worship.  I am appalled that the difference between her religious temple and common whorehouses are not distinguished by our police department.  I feel certain that the constitutional rights of religious freedom have been violated by the authorities and that full economic restitution will have to be made to compensate the Phoenix Goddess Temple.

Sincerely,
Stuart Mark Berlin M.D.
